PHAA-QLD executive Membership of the PHAA-QLD executive committee is open to all members of PHAA and is by election at our Annual General Meeting. Our current executive committee is: President: Dr Sara Gollschewski; Treasurer: Tania Patrao; Secretary: Rhianna Murray; Executive Committee Members: Dr Peter Anderson, Paul Gardiner, Lauren Waters, Jillian Scholes, Gaery Barbery, Dr Kerrianne Watt and Brad McCulloch. At any time you can become involved with the committee, in any capacity. For example, you may like to suggest events or activities for us to hold in your area, or you may be passionate about a public health issue and want your voice to be heard. Members may be involved in branch activities, advocacy, event and/or conference organisation, media campaigns, website development, even photographing events. Its a great way to meet other people in public health and find out what is going on! We would particularly like to invite students to join the committee - some of the exisiting committee members joined as students and found it a great way to gain practical skills for the workforce. Dates of meetings Meetings are held monthly at the offices of the Cancer Council Queensland, at 553 Gregory Terrace, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane from 4pm. 2010 meeting dates: 4th August; 1st September; 6th October; 3rd November; 1st December. These dates are subject to change - please check back closer to a meeting to confirm. You don't need to RSVP, please come along and share your views! |
